Hello, I have just added Apple TV 4K to TV. I have an original home pod and HomePod mini. Which would say is better for sound with TV, one HomePod or 2 HomePod minis as a stereo pair. Happy to buy a mini, don’t want to buy HomePod due to Apple potentially doing something different. Any help/thoughts much appreciated

I have both a pair of HomePods and a pair of HomePod Minis. Got to be honest and say the HomePods are far better sounding than the minis. Minis are not terrible but are certainly not HomePods. Just my opinion.

OG is worth it. Because it can play all sound. The minis have the same limitations as all other Airplay 2 speakers. Not all content from every app will work. And it’s highly annoying. Plus you can’t set minis as the default speakers.

Have you ever used just one with TV or always used both?

Between the two, HomePod and the changes with them only makes them better.

I have always used them as a pair. Can't use all four together but just the pair of HomePods is enough.
Yeah thanks, that’s my issue don’t have 2. Will try with one and see what happens. Not sure I want to get another or might decide I do

It still works fine with one. When I only had one originally I placed it in the center behind my TV. Still sounded great but 2 of them really gives the best sound.
