All I need is:

I do believe this thread is going in circles. ;)

Just looked at the HP's spec, built-in BT for music, so it will work the way you want. Folks here keep telling you to get a receiver but sometimes people are not so discriminating and simplicity is what they after.

What you are after will work, but once more, if you insist on wireless, you *MAY* have to do some tweaking to the WIFI, and if that WIFI (apartment?) is not under your control then I foresee unhappiness.

Well :) I will try and see how it works. It definitely won't go to waste anyway. I will let you know (but it won't be very soon).

Btw, I'm geting my Air in 2 days. Wish me luck :D

Well then you could simpy use a bluetooth speaker via bluetooth, right? Although I don't understand why should there be any lag with airplay, the speaker is connected by cable to tv.

There's also pretty significant lag in audio/video sync if you're trying to use a bluetooth speaker with AirPlay. Like unwatchable lag.

I wonder if that depends on distance in any way?

I have a Mac Mini in my kitchen hooked up to a monitor with no audio and use a JBL Flip. It's no more than 6 inches from the Mini and I haven't had audio lag issues.

My preferred Airplay solution is Air Video HD, but of course you need a computer, Apple TV and iPhone/iPad
