Homebrew and rootless ?

I'm not on the DP yet so I can't try it but what does rootless mean for Homebrew (the package manager) ?

It should be fine as rootless doesn't protect /usr/local that's left for users to use.

I suppose some formulae might want to install into /{,usr/}{s,}bin but most don't and will work fine.
