Anyone use it? Or anyone know of a good forum to discuss issues? Github has only so much.

It looks promising, but I have only been able to get 1 of 4 of my non-homekit compatible devices to work through its plugins, a Yamaha AVR. The others, a myQ Chamberlain garage door opener, an Xbox One, and an app on an old iPhone that streams an RTSP feed to a FFmpeg plugin.

Nothing seems to work in Homebridge except my Yamaha AVR via its plugin. I've reset and tinkered with everything I can think of and nada. Homebridge is running on an old 2011 27" iMac with upgraded RAM and a SSD that's always on, the Homekit hub seems to volley between two Apple 4Ks.

Anyone dick around with Homebridge?

r/homebridge (on reddit)

the homebridge logs are usually pretty helpful, but especially with multiple plugins they contain a lot, so it takes some digging to find what you're looking for.

A lot of threads, thanks. Finally got most of my devices working, including some old iPhones that work as a remote cam, though they definitely do not support HKSV. It's cool to mess around with, but definitely not stable, as I'm sure Apple wants HK to be. Some plug-ins work great, some not so much.

I wish more devices supported HomeKit natively to consolidate the myriad of apps we have to use for our IoTs.
