OK, I've been on a roll doing some Apple concepts and recently looked at the upcoming Apple Smart Speaker. Rumour roundups suggest this will be a 7" square device that could be connected to HomePod mini style speaker or wall mounted and might resemble a G4 iMac. Below is my imagined design for such a device.

Wall Mounted

I initially looked at using a MagSafe style connector (see below) which seemed elegant at first. Then I realised if anyone was poking this thing on the corners while it was wall mounted, it might easily disconnect and fall to the ground. So I ended up going with an iPad magic keyboard style textile connection, which would have pogo pins. Also not immediately apparent on the video or images, my thinking was that the wall mounted version could could be sized to fit into a standard sized light switch fixture, so an electrician could just wire it into the lighting ring to charge it. It would mean users could position it near light switches which are by their nature conveniently accessible in a room.

Anyway, just a test, hope you like it!

I really like these. I tried to take your idea and expand on it using AI to see what it be like with having the screen built in, extend up then tilting towards you. However my rendering made the speaker a too small. LOL. You're very talented and I can see Apple doing something like this. I put a video link below of what I was thinking. I think you could desig something a lot better than what I had rendered.
