All iPads HomeKit battery drain

I’m having issues with battery drains on iPadOS 17.2 beta 1 and 16.x with HomeKit and battery drain.

On one iPad my battery was used 80% by HomeKit. Background app refresh is turned off.

Any ideas what’s causing this and how to fix it?

It’s a beta OS. Likely is a bug.

But also happening on a non beta iPad.

The Missus has the same issues. Sure didn’t even use the home app and drains her battery.
Asked her to delete the app for now.

Of anyone has a solution please feel free to share.
