i don't see the option of connect on my Apple TV 4 under icloud and my iPhone no longer says connected to HomeKit.

Anyone else notice this?

Further to this, if I set my iPad up for the HomeKit hub I connect fine. I disable HomeKit on the iPad and the Apple TV doesn't act for the HomeKit hub. Logged out and back in under iCloud. Very strange.

I just started using HomeKit yesterday - it worked like a charm yesterday (with Hue lights), woke up this morning and:
1) Lights that were timed to turn off last night, were still on.
2) I could not turn on/off lights using Siri or the HomeKit app, despite the app correctly showing that the lights were on. I ended up restarting my iPad and it worked. I have HomeKit running on my iPhone and iPad, and connected on my 4th gen Apple TV.

If the reliability isn't there then it will lose my interest quickly.

I'm having the same problem, all the automations that I set up using the home app sporadically work, there are some posts on the Apple discussion forums with people with same issue but not huge amount. All my Devices are fully up-to-date and I'm sure I've done everything correctly, sometimes the lights do trigger correctly and sometimes they don't. My feeling is that this will be remedied soon with a software update. I was delighted when I saw that through the apple home at I could trigger at sunrise and sunset scenes and accessories rather than relying on IFTTT, just hoping it gets resolved quickly.

Hard reset your phone/ipad.... this usually remedies some issues.

Schlage is releasing an updated firmware in a few weeks to fix the lock issues some people have.
They released a firmware update a few weeks ago which kind of fixed issues with the Sense. I personally have to unplug my sense if the connectivity is lost and it seems to fix itself.

I hope the upcoming update fixes the problems. It's been problematic ever since iOS 10 was released
