Hello
I just got the Philip hue, and I love it.
However I'm having major problems with the Home app.
50% of the time, it says the bridge and hue are not responding.
I've done a reset of everything, but it didn't fix it.

Any suggestions?

When that happens, can you still control the Hue bulbs and accessories via the Hue app? With my setup, this is the case. Of course, I don't like "No Response", so I power cycle the bridge to get things back working again.

Yes I can use the hue app without any problems.

Interesting. In my case, I just power cycle (unplug/plug) the Hue Bridge as soon as I find out, and after that it goes without problems for either days or months. So I suppose it works fine for 99% of the time because of that. You said 50%, so how did you come to that number?

I can't remember exactly but I seem to recall there is something you need to do related to the Apple TV to prevent this problem. I had the same trouble until I did it and it has been fine since then.

Do you remember what you did on your Apple TV? I have the exact same problem with my HomeKit app. Hue app works fine but HomeKit says "not responding".

I can’t remember - I recently got a new Apple TV and a new bridge but the ATV was set up via my phone so everything was the same as our other one.

Perhaps go into the settings and make sure everything is on, from location sharing to HomeKit and Computers options and everything else that could possibly affect it.

Thanks!
I think I fixed it by signing out and back in of my iCloud on my Apple TV.
Found this fix somewhere on Apple’s support website and it seems to help.
