Since upgrading all our devices to iOS 16.2, iPad OS 16.2 and tvOS 16.2, and updating all devices to take advantage of the new Home architecture, only I, the owner, of can see our accessories and scenes. I have invited all my family members and they receive the invitation and accept it. However, nothing happens, and they do not get access to our Home. On my iPhone I temporarely see their invites changing from pending to Resident, but when I leave the Home app and come back, they are no longer on the list of members.

So much for the improved architecture, Apple.

By the way, I have read "all" the solutions on Reddit and in Apple's own community forum, but none of them work. I'm guessing this requires a fix from Apples side?

More than likely yes. My experience of this latest HomeKit foundation has been nothing short of terrible too. I'm afraid we just have to give it time and hope that Apple gets their collective fingers out of their big fat hairy arse and sort out the myriad issues with HomeKit.

...However I'm not holding my breath...

Do you have an Apple TV in the mix? I had the same problem until I added the family member to the apple TV and then everything started to work.

Yes, I have an Apple TV HD. Without it on the network I am not allowed to invite anyone. Do you mean add them by their profile?

I had the same issue and this worked for me (not sure if it's the same solution you referenced but it was a solution that I found either on Reddit or here).

I only have a single Apple TV and two HomePods. I turned all off and then unplugged for 15 seconds. Turned AppleTV on first and waited until it was online. Then turned on HomePods. Verified both were online and all HomeKit devices responding.

Then I deleted and readded family members.

Thanks. Tried that as well. I'm not sure if the issue is my Apple TV, as it is not Matter compatible, but still, Homekit wanted to add it, and after updating all devices to the new architecture I can't invite family members unless the Apple TV is found on the network. Not exactly user friendly this transition is... mmmmh!

Did you try the “nuclear” reset profile option mentioned on Reddit? It’s a profile you install from Apple’s website which makes a “reset” button visible in the HomeKit settings. That deletes all Home data from that device and iCloud. You would need to run it on every user’s device.

A slightly less drastic method is deleting the Home, but if you are going to do that, you might as well reset all Home data to clean up any possible corrupted data.

Good luck with that. I’ve been waiting about 3 years for Apple to fix Wi-Fi calling on iPads not working after a restart. I’ve been waiting 2 years for Screen Time to work with more than 2 devices.

LOL, seems like the page is gone!
what was the trick mentioned there?
Make sure both phones are up to date on the same version.

Delete the invite from the senders phone.

Delete the home from the home app on both phones.

Restart both phones.

Add the home back into the home app on both phones.

Resend the invite.

I’m 99% sure that’s what I did. It stinks that that page is gone. No idea why they would remove it.
