So ever since upgrading to HomePod OS 14.2, HomePod no longer recognizes my contacts when I ask Siri to send a message. She will say something like, “I dont have x in your contacts” when I make a request. Additionally, when I tell her to “give me an update,“ weather location data is incorrect. Restarting the HomePod will temporarily correct both of these problems but isn’t a permanent fix. Thoughts? Anyone else experiencing this?

Not sure if this counts as a bug, but I can’t get my HomePods to behave as just a pair of HomePods after they are set up as a home theater with Apple TV 4K. The only airplay option is the HomePod/Apple TV combo.

Also the weather is way off when asking for an update from Siri.

I ended up restoring my HomePods and setting them up as new.
Sadly, I am finding this to be true after just about every Homepod update. Glad they keep adding features, but it seems like you have to reset the homepods just about every time to get bugs worked out, and that doesn’t even work sometimes. Hoping 14.3 offers a lot of bug fixes and overall refinements.

Performed the restore. Worked for about an hour, similar to after a restart, but then went back to inaccurate weather info again unfortunately.

I just recently encountered this issue after having my HomePod mini for 3 days. All access is given that is required, and running Software 14.3. Everything works but sending/receiving texts. I’ve done multiple restarts and factory resets. Any advice/help?
