HomePod HomePod 2 gets warm

I got a pair of HomePod 2 and they get pretty warm. Wondering if y'all experiencing the same?
So far using it with ATV 4k - audio to my Sony HT-A9 and pair of HomePods simultaneously. A bit much, but sounds good.

Still hoping they pair with MacBook better than just airplay, but as desktop speakers.

My HomePods have been running for about 5 hrs and they haven't gotten warm.

OG HomePods ran pretty warm even in standby, which potentially is the cause for the high failure rate. Interesting to hear that the new ones run warm as well, thought that would be fixed with the new Watch SoC.

I was surprised today at apple store how warm they are :-/
Not a good thing in my opinion too
