My two HomePod Minis finished calibrating after about 30 minutes after I originally updated and seemed fairly accurate as they matched some other sensors I add.

Skip to today and Home was all messed up after I ended up rebooting my modem and router with a number of devices (including the HomePod mini) not responding so I unplugged my 2 HomePod minis and Apple TV and plugged them back in. That got Home working again.

One thing I immediately noticed is that the temperature and humidity showed as calibrating again on the 2 HomePod minis despite having already done so after the update. I have restarted them several times since then and they’ve never had to recalibrate, but apparently unplugging them forces them to recalibrate again.

They take a long time to do so. It’s been 25 minutes and they are still calibrating.

Edit: took 30 minutes for both.

I’ve updated my mini to 16.3 about 6 hours ago and still can’t see any temperature or humidity sensors in Climate. Is it calibrating or my mini will stay useless forever?

Edit 1: My bad I am not on latest iOS because was lazy to do a quick update.
Edit 2: Never mind that, updating iPhone to 16.3 didn’t help. Should I poke the mini with a stick to do something?
