HomePod as Conference Speaker

I know it's not released yet, but I'm curious to know if anyone thinks the HomePod can/will be able to be used as a speaker for conference calls. It obviously has a mic built-in, so I'm hoping it will. Thoughts?

I don't think it will have that functionality right away, but it's likely something that could be added through a possible software update. But it certainly would have the capabilities with the microphone for something useful like a conference call.
