Hey,

Since yesterday my stereo HomePod can't play Apple Music, they keep saying that there is an issue and ask me to try again.
I've tried everything I can think of: separate the stereo pair, unplug, reboot them twice, change the AppleID connected to them (I have a family subscription so I tried 2 different IDs) and even turned off and turned on home sharing in Music settings.

I have no issues with Apple Music on any other device.

Does anyone have an idea to solve this?

(Sorry for my english, it's not my first language)

I believe Apple has been having issues with their Music servers recently. Search MacRumors for the article.

Me: Hey Siri, play Mank: Original Musical Score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Siri: Here's Cirque de Soleil (something or other, it plays)

Siri: I'm sorry, I can't find Mank: Original Musical Score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on Apple Music.

Me: Hey Siri, play Welcome to Victorville by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. (This is the first song from Mank)

Siri: Plays the song.

Me: Hey Siri, what album is this from.

Siri: This is from Mank: Original Musical Score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Im currently in quarantine and while others are developing serious relationship issues with their partners, I do with Siri.
Have several HomePods in different rooms and when I ask Siri to play music it keeps telling me there is an issue. Home-App shows no error. No problem to start Music via iPhone on the HomePods though (via remote-control).
It is so annoying.

Same problem here since I installed 14.3 Beta 2 on all of my HomePods. Problem persists on Beta 3.
Everything else like Homekit controls, news and weather is working fine. I tried resetting, unpairing and changing the account but nothing works.

have you tried rebooting your router? and other wifi devices

that seems to help when the HomePod has issues with homekit, similar situation, everything else works on the HomePod, and homekit works fine on other devices.

Yes, and I tried even another DHCP and DNS Server on my home network.

"It seems that Apple Music can't play that" is another greatest hit these days with Siri, on songs that are 100% on Apple Music and play just fine on my phone. It's kind of comedic, really.

HomePod mini just can't find/play any of my playlists. Finds all my songs. Finds all my artists. Just not playlists. I am able to play a playlist on y phone and then transfer via airplay to HomePod, but it would be so much nicer to avoid all that (very minor) extra work.

Hey so I finally found a « fix » on reddit:
You have now have to say « Hey Siri play XXX on Apple Music. »
It seems that Apple is preparing for Amazon Music support as advertised during the HomePod Mini introduction.
I have no doubt that we will later be able to just select a default service but for now we’ll have to end all of our sentences on Apple Music.
I hope it will be useful for some of you encountering the same issue with the latest beta.
