Mine has stopped listening to hey siri unless I say it twice. NONSENSE

My normal commands are pretty snappy but I’m still getting a huge delay with timed commands, eg, “hey Siri, turn the exhaust fan off in 20 minutes.” I understand it needs to create a temporary automation that auto deletes after its run but Siri goes through the whole, “working on that, still working, etc…”

Anyone else seeing this?

My timed commands take maybe 10 seconds to create on any HomePod.

The biggest delay I have noticed as with the Goodnight scene which on the HomePod takes about 16 or 17 seconds, and on my phone, two seconds. I just don't understand why scenes take substantially longer on any HomePod than on my phone.

Appreciate the feedback. Timed commands are instant on my iPhone but about 50% success rate on the HomePods and when they do succeed, it’s at least 30 seconds of Siri telling me to chill, she’s on it.

My good night is set up on an automation so I don’t use Siri for it but when I’ve tried, it seems to work fine.

To my HomePod mini:
“Hey Siri, set a timer for 8 minutes”
“…”
“Just a minute…”
“Sorry I can’t connect to the internet right now.”

Just awesome.

Don’t know about anyone else, but for every HomePod I have, whenever I enter the settings page, where the Alarm and Timer are, it always takes about a minute for the Timer section to update from not connected to showing the Timer option. Very frustrating.
