Yeah...My HomePod is 2 1/2 years old and just gave up the ghost....it just stopped working yesterday (Sunday). Called support and we tried everything...was told could take it into an Apple repair but most likely will cost me $298 to fix...yeah ok. Apple supposedly makes long-lasting products...so this was/is a huge disappointment. Hesitating to buy a new one..but I do love ...or did love...this product. NOTE: The HomePod turned off and every few seconds the volume control turned on and off....When pressing on top it turned from white to the red death. I think I am going to order a new one but this hurt bad

Sorry to hear. I have two, each about the same age as yours. Make sure to scour the web and the Apple Forums before calling it quits. You may also want to take a look on iFixit to see if they have anything to offer for this issue. Good luck!

Yeah that stinks. I can relate—my first iPhone only lasted about that long before it died. It was a terrible introduction to the Apple ecosystem as it was my first Apple product. But I stuck with Apple and that hasn’t happened since. I think these things just happen on rare occasion, even with Apple. We are the unlucky ones. If it’s a repeating pattern though, I’d be looking for some retribution.
