I got a starter set of Hue bulbs this weekend, and after connecting them to HomeKit I can only control them via Siri from my iPhone. The HomePod does not seem to recognize them at all.

If I ask Siri on the HomePod to control one of them, it says that it doesn't see anything like that in my Home app.

I added them to a scene (Bedtime) in which all of my HomeKit plugs and lights turn off, and the HomePod will turn everything off but the Hue lights when invoking the scene.

Using the Hue app on the iPhone works fantastic, everything is super responsive and very quick.

Any advice? I've already tried unplugging and plugging back in the HomePod, but to no avail.

Thank you!
Mani

I’ve now tried unpairing and re-adding the hue bridge to my home app, and also resetting my HomePod to factory settings. Neither of these have worked.

I purchased a HomePod and the starter kit of Hue bulbs this weekend too, and was in the exact same situation when I first tried controlling my bulbs through the HomePod.

I tried many things like you as well, what I think eventually kicked the HomePod into seeing the bulbs was a simple restart of my iPhone. After powering off and back on, my HomePod suddenly had control of my lights.

Awesome! Updating to the latest beta seems to have jumpstarted it for me, but maybe just the restart got it working. Glad it’s working for you too!
