To start off, I have 4 HomePod Minis (so 2 stereo pairs in two separate rooms in the house) and I seem to be able to AirPlay to these devices or "rooms" as set up in the Home app no problem through iOS or iPadOS (iOS 14.6 and iOS 15 Beta 1 and iPadOS 14.6 and iPadOS 15 beta 1), but when it comes to AirPlaying from my iMac (M1 2021) or MacBook Pro (M1 2020), both running either MacOS 11 or MacOS 12 Beta, they will not AirPlay at all. The only thing I can AirPlay connect from the iMac or MacBook Pro is through one speaker group at a time for the device's whole sound system (notifications, etc included, as well as music and any other sounds).

Anyone else having this issue? Like I said, the speakers and speaker groups work flawlessly with iOS and iPadOS devices...

Can only connect to one speaker set via that method. AirPlay through Apple Music will not work on the iMac or MacBook Pro.... Let me know your thoughts on a potential fix.

I have a problem with my M1 Mac mini that may be the same as yours. I connect my Mac to my HomePod mini for sound output.

If my Mac has been "sleeping" for a long time (overnight) then I get no sound from the HomePod mini when I reawaken the Mac. I can still connect to the HomePod and the Homepod lights up but no sound plays.

I have to reboot my Mac for the sound to start working out of the HomePod again.
