Launch in other countries? I thought it might be due for a refresh. Sheesh, just now getting it in native languages...

Thing is, Siri has been stagnating for years, it is unbelievable. Because of that this product has zero potential for the moment. All the companies selling these smart speakers know it's a dead market. Nobody promotes these anymore.

But then you don’t get to enjoy the mindboggling stupidity of Siri.

Only yesterday I said “hey Siri, goodnight” to activate the corresponding scene and she replied she didn’t know what to do with my request. And tonight it works fine.

Apple definitely need to improve the Swedish language. I've been using it since they released support for it and my HomePod is listening to my commands 50% of the time, and when it does, 20% of the time it gets the command right. It's absolutely awful.

For two things I 've been waiting for too long now:

1. Release in Sweden
2. Spotify finds the time and will to add their service natively...
I would recommend you stop waiting and get something that works.

The homepod mini is the only Apple device I own that is a complete piece of crap.

I have a anker cheap speaker in my Bluetooth/WiFi speaker collection and it’s a small one that outdoes 2 minis (the stereo sound) and that’s a shame. I stopped using my 2 minis due to the abysmal sound quality.

What's up with the super slow release of additional language support for Siri? I get the smaller markets/less revenue taking less priority at Apple but one would think a 40 million population would be somewhere higher on the list?
Not to mention $25B in R&D this year and rising. For that kind of money, Siri should be fluent in every single language and Apple Maps should work in every country by now. So much waste under Cook.

Apple is likely to launch the HomePod mini in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden in the foreseeable future based on Siri language support.

In recent software updates, the HomePod and HomePod mini gained support for Siri in Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish. Danish is still not supported on HomePods, but a report earlier this year indicated that the language was being tested.

First released in October 2020, the HomePod mini is currently available in 20 countries and territories, including the United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Kingdom.

Apple made the HomePod mini available in yellow, orange, and blue last year, alongside space gray and white. In August, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman claimed that Apple was considering launching an updated version of the $99 smart speaker in the future, but he did not provide a specific timeframe or details about potential new features.

Apple discontinued the full-size HomePod in March 2021.

Still no bluetooth

I really hope the next version is a little more portable and has MagSafe/wireless charging. I want to be able to travel with it and move it between rooms.
