I belive this will work but hoping for confirmation. I want to bring my HomePod Mini on our Cruise to use as just an AirPlay device to my iPhone or iPad Pro. All I want is to play music that I have downloaded on my devices to my HomePod Mini. I don't want any Siri support etc...

If I understand all is I need to have wifi on on my iPhone or iPadPro and then I can AirPlay to the Mini, is that right? Packing now....

TIA

I believe you can. Someone posted a thread a few months ago using a HomePod for in car audio output.

The HomePod Mini powered up fine but in AirPlay the Mini was not seen. Oh well… Anyone have any other ideas?

I think that You need to change setting in Home app for „Allow tv and speaker access“ from anyone on the same network or only people sharing this home to everyone
