Hello.

We have x2 of the Sonos Play:1 speakers in our household.
They have been okay and sound pretty good, but I've never been a fan of the interface via the Sonos App.
My wife and I both use Apple Music for our music streaming.

My question is, do you think the new HomePod Mini's would be a suitable replacement for the Sonos Play:1?
As is in sound as good?
Obviously no one has had hands on experience with them yet, but maybe those with a regular HomePod could give some knowledge also.

Thanks in advance.

Stuart.

I'm going to guess that simply based on the size of the mini, it won't sound as good as the Sonos you have. But like you said, no one knows for sure until someone actually gets to use them. I suppose you could get them and try them out and if they aren't good enough return them.

No - the play 1 sounds much better than the HomePod mini (just added a HomePod mini in my kitchen to give me Siri control of Sonos)

Yep got mine today and they are not even in the same geographical region as far as sound quality. They sound good for a tiny speaker, but the Sonos blows it out of the water.

I agree there is no comparison! I brought a mini for the bathroom hoping it would sound somewhat decent. I was totally wrong. I use it to control my Sonos one now that’s it for sound.
