HomePod HomePod mini will only play with other speakers

I have a HomePod mini in my bathroom and a couple regular home pods around my condo.
If I say "Siri play blah blah" while in the bathroom. I get "Hmmm Im having a problem"
If I say "Siri play blah blah everywhere" it works
Any idea what causes this?
