Without me doing anything, since one of the WatchOS7 or iPhone 14 Betas, if I am wearing my watch to bed, it plays the alarm sound my phone normally would, and my phone stays silent. I can still either tap my phone or watch then pick Snooze or Stop, but the sound only plays from my watch. If my watch is charging, then the phone plays the sound.

Hmm. I just tried and my iPhone played my selected choice and the watch just normal ding. Anyway don’t want to stay off topic of the thread.

...
And when will they start supporting additional languages? It's crazy to me how Siri is perfectly capable of working in my native language on iOS for years, yet on HomePod I'm stuck with English and it's been like this for almost three years now. Why isn't this moving any faster? It's beyond me.

On the subject of language support: I so wish there was a bilingual option, my home is split between two languages. To be able to use both seamlessly would be convenient!

I had a CD player with built in clock that did that in the 90s. Well done Apple - really raising the bar there!
Yeah, some of the things that Apple brings out, I'm like, why the hell wasn't that done years ago, it's so obvious, and so easy to implement.

The ecosystem already has a better way to do it. Tapping your wrist to wake you up by Apple Watch. It’s so good I don’t bother with sound anymore.
I've tried to use my watch alarm, and it simply doesn't wake me up! Apparently, it's just too easy for me to roll over and go back to sleep. Whereas with my HomePod, I have to get out of bed to yell, "Hey Siri — Alarm Off!" LOL that is my morning routine. I've tried using my watch several times...thankfully not when I needed to awaken for anything important. My phone will work, though.

yawn, you could have done this for years through an automation, so.... nuff said. Oh, and you can airplay from any source that supports airplay, so no mandatory subscription. And according to professional reviewers it is absolutely the best sounding (as in accurate) of speakers in this price range, so "good enough" kind of customers?

Seriously, I'm sure everyone appreciates that you don't own one, never will and that is all fine and good, no harm there. But in attempting to bash something, at least be honest about it.
Blah, blah, blah.
I don't understand how you can decide that I own one or that I will never buy it from my post, but I guess this too is the fruit of the condescension with which you deign us to your unsolicited advice.
As for Automate, not all users are as smart as you, the thread talks about how to make this feature accessible to everyone immediately.

The sound ... at least my opinion comes after listening and not before, as is the case with someone here.

Is it locked into Apple Music only or can you use a different service like Spotify? My other alarms already have Spotify integration.

Great, but I’d love to be able to set the wake up tones/sounds from Sleep (like “birdsong”, for example) as the alarm sound on HomePod. It seems a bit ridiculous that you can’t.
