Does the top glow to show the current album art colours roughly? When it’s playing musicYep!
Not in the slightest. I've heard this mentioned across several YouTube videos also before I got mine so I was on the lookout, but it's just a dim white light when it's playing music. Kinda disappointing. Missed opportunity.
Oh that’s disappointing, I was looking forward to that as an aesthetic and saw it mentioned but seems they must have all been listening to predominantly white coloured album art music 😂

I'm still holding out hope Apple adds it in the future though I know it's not likely... It would be a nice feature, add a bit more life to the HomePod and take a bit more advantage of the massive "display" on the top.

UK buyers - John Lewis still has them in stock for delivery/collection at a Waitrose tomorrow. Certainly better than waiting til March and only bought today.
Only in White. Midnight is sold out. Though they have limited stock in stores. Newcastle only have 2 midnights in stock.
Yes, at time of writing there were 10 in stock, but by 9:30am they'd all gone.
Intrigued to see how people compare them to the OGs. I'm keeping my OG's currently as the upgrade doesn't seem a good enough jump.
Don't think we'll get much information that we do not have already. They sound roughly the same, with some saying the new one sounds better and others than the OG does. I won't be upgrading my OGs but for any new purchases or after they inevitably fail, I might consider the new ones.
My HomePods arrived today afternoon. From my first impressions the OG HomePod sounds better/ richer. Must do some more comparisons to come to a conclusion...
