HomePod HomePod Question

I was thinking about getting a HomePod however I absolutely do not want it to announce incoming calls, texts, etc. In fact I would want to block any voice requests to access that info. This may be against the intent of what HomePod is for but curious to know what options are available.

Pretty sure none of this is on by default. I plugged in my HomePod and use it for music. It has never once notified me of a phone call or text.

^ This. You can turn on "Personal Requests" and "Recognize my Voice", but you don't have to. There are definitely settings you can play with to keep private things private.

You can even turn Siri off completely on HomePod if you wish.
