Me: Hey, Siri, what the weather?
Siri: Weather where?

*** Thinking to myself*** I’m asking the effing questions here, do you mind? Well thank you very much can I be in charge for a while????

Me: The weather here
Siri: *No answer, goes to sleep*

Again...

Me: Hey, Siri, what the temperature?
Siri: Temperature where?
Me: wowowow
Siri: wowowow (not even exaggerating, this was her reply!)

Very well then...

Me: Hey, Siri, what’s my update?
Siri: The temperature is currently 88 deg...
Me: *** thinking, in NY??? Let’s try this again... same answer and she’s sticking to it....

*At this point I stop the update by pressing the top of the HomePod and manually check the weather. 47 deg. Sounds about right.

Have a scene called “Taking a shower” that turns on the shower light, exhaust fan and towel warmer.

Me: Hey, Siri, taking a shower.
Siri: No thanks, I prefer to stay dry
***I give up***

This all worked fine yesterday and prior

Yep, further proof that Siri is the biggest piece of **** ever invented and the whole Siri team needs re-evaluating!! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Apple are going out of their way to make Siri even worse than we ever thought possible.

I actually felt like I was being taunted lol.
I’m gonna absolutely lose my mind if someone replies that it’s my WiFi 😂.

Check your location settings. Updates occasionally cause them to get turned off, so Siri doesn’t know where you are any more. Still not excusable, but fixable!

Good call but it’s all enabled and always was. I always check settings after any update to make sure nothing’s changed. Siri just went full on. Never go full on.

she's been a bit fussy in the latest updates (both versions of 14)

the most annoying to me "ok the kitchen light are on" but it almost sounds like she's cutting the "s" off of lights instead of using bad grammar, there's a little audio glitch sound. and it multiple lights. (sounds fine on the phone)

homekit has been hit or miss when playing scenes.
especially with adaptive lighting on hue, I normally have to play the scene twice to make it happen, the lights will usually all come on, but not all of them to the correct color.

and I've had updates turn things off for me, I know personal requests magically stopped working a couple times.

me: hey siri, turn on the bathroom light
siri: ok, which room: bathroom, living-room or everywhere ?
me: the bathroom
siri: ok bathroom light is on

-> does nothing in the bathroom and turns on the living room

only does that on homepod, she does the right thing straight away if queried by watch or phone

homepod siri is clearly drunk.

We have 6 home pods and 2 mini home pods. we have 2 stereo pairs of homepods.

lately the stereo pair in the living room... which is the same room as the wifi router and modem keep telling me she has wifi issues. none of the other home pods have any issue connecting to the wifi. ALL were set up the same way.

i removed and reset up the living room home pods. they work for a few hours and start the same crap again...

VERY frustrating cuz I love them when they work/worked... which is why we have so many of them.

Just FYI, yesterday my iPhone couldn't connect to my HomePods in Apple Home app. Helpfully, the Home app told me that my iPhone was on a different wifi network from the HomePods. Never been told that before, but right enough, my iPhone (11pro) had somehow connected itself to the guest wifi - which is completely isolated from the home wifi.

It's never done that before, but I told my iPhone to "forget" the guest network pronto, and it's been fine ever since.

But yeah, Apple QA sucks right now.

I’ve found that when I have issues with a HomePod that is acting strangely, logging out of that HomePod then logging it in again helped.
