I remember when I got our HomePods (3 total) they were instantaneous after I asked it a question. When I asked for a certain album to play it was very quick.

Now when I ask it to play an album, the light on the top spins, she says “just a sec”, then “let’s see”, then she plays the album I asked for.

What’s frustrating is it seems to be buffering after I make a request to play music...my WiFi connection is great (and fast) so I’m not sure why things have slowed down in the last couple months. She used to play it pretty quick in the past without saying “just a sec” like she’s saying now.

The timer and other commands (like the lights) still work instantaneous, but the music takes a few moments.

Is anyone else having these delays when requesting music?

Power cycle your router, update all your devices, reset the homepods and setup as new. Any improvement?
This worked! I actually contacted Apple and they’re having an Engineer contact me.

I told them a power cycle/reset to the HomePod fixed it...so we’ll see what they say. Thanks for the advice!
