Nothing. Speculation is that it won’t release until iOS 14.1, likely when the iPhone 12 launches.
The HomePod tvOS beta is at 14.1 as of at least 3 weeks now.

That's extremely disappointing from Apple. I was keen for iOS 14 so I could run Spotify through my Homepod.
It was reported as coming with this update and we have nothing.

I was hoping to see this as well. But go figure they would hold off and I'm just more and more disappointed with the HomePod and attention it gets. Really it's like Apple is guilted into supporting it.

Thanks, looking forward to finally being able to use Pandora as the default player as we have a free shared account.

Maybe the possibility for choosing Spotify on the Homepod in the next iOS 14 beta versions. Let's see.

Yes, this is disappointing, along with the Apple Event today listing Pandora and Amazon Music as being compatible eventually with the HomePod Mini, but no mention of Spotify.
Makes me think Apple is again at odds with Spotify.

Any third party service is still supported. Apple just, rightfully, does not want to promote Spotify in any way.

The new HomePodOS 14.2 beta along with iOS 14.2 beta 3 have the new Intercom feature btw.

Rightfully?

No, it's just anti-competitive behavior from Apple which also hurts many Apple customers. Greed over good.

I'm thinking that the HomePod software update will come Wednesday/Thursday with iOS 14.1, but they might hold it off and release it the week of the HomePod Mini, so might not get it until 11th/12th November.
