I have a bunch of OG HomePods and two of them are connected as a stereo pair. I updated them all promptly when the 14.7 update became available to move away from 14.6 as fast as possible.

Today, I’m showing an update to OS 14.7 available for only one of the HomePods in my stereo pair. When I go to the settings, it’s already on 14.7

What a predicament I’m in. Do I risk it and click the update button or do I impatiently wait for OS 15 with that persistent “update available” alert punching me in the face? Mind you I have an itchy thumb. What to do, what to do?

It worked… Thanks again! Surprised I haven’t seen this before but now I know for next time.

You’re welcome. It’s been mentioned a couple of times in here over the last few months but it’s certainly not a common issue it would seem. I had the issue loads of times when I was on HomePod 14 software.

I read every thread in here (it’s my favorite sub forum). Can’t believe I missed the… or maybe dismissed them since I never saw that issue and had nothing of value to add.
