So my wife and I were messing around randomly requesting Siri songs for my son's eighth birthday tomorrow. Most songs would play, but when I would request a song that is my library, such as "Crazy Train" by Ozzy, Siri would say, "Playing Crazy Train" but would never actually play it. I could request just Ozzy songs and eventually "Crazy Train" would play. But if it's in my iPhone or iMac, it won't play. This happened before after I created a playlist and a lot of the song's wouldn't play even when I used AirPlay through my iPhone. I reset my HomePod and that seemed to help, but it seems that I'm having the problem again.

Has anyone run into this problem?

Yes. I find logging the HomePod out of my iCloud account fixes the issue for a while.

I’ve seen the issue reported other places. I hope the next update to HomePod fixes the issue.

Thanks. I do that through the Home app right?

I hope so. I tried logging out and back in through the Home app but still wouldn't play certain songs. I then unplugged the HomePod and power cycled it and it worked. Or at least in the quick test I did because it was getting late and the wife wasn't happy with me messing with electronics when it's time to get our son to bed. ;)

This has happened to me a few times and each time, was correct without intervention. I asked for a song and it could never play that specific song even though it said “now playing”. I tried another song and it played. Later, the affected song would play without issue. It’s a server side bug.
