HomePod Homepod won’t play podcasts

I have multiroom audio setup with two homepods. It always used to work.

I have Shortcuts and Home app automations set up and don’t want to hard reset.

I have reported this bug!

have you power cycled / rebooted the HomePod?

have you rebooted your router and wifi gear?
-- sounds silly, but the HP seems very very picky on wifi, Ive seen this clear up several random issues in the forums here.

Even if everything else is working on the hompod, and everything works on your other devices, rebooting wifi seems to clear it up.

I think the issue may be that it won’t play to homepods set up as multiroom audio at the moment but has responsed to a single homepod in the set up.
