I have NO problem with connectivity. V-man keeps asserting that Siri is having issues because of internet connectivity, whereas my argument is that Siri just sucks. We aren't going to be in agreement on this one. The HomePod is over a year old. The only 'issue' is SIRI and replacing it won't change that!

No argument here, there is a reason I turn Siri off. She adds no value to my life.

I own 5 HomePod’s and have no issues with Siri or Apple Music. I have several friends with them, must be another 20 HomePod’s there, no issues either.

So you either have bad Wi-Fi or a defective HomePod. You are sure it’s not your Wi-Fi. So problem solved, buy a replacement HomePod. No need to whine anymore.

If he's smart, that replacement HomePod will have a Sonos nameplate.

JK, maybe a replacement one would work better, but my own experience is that the HomePod has wifi issues. But Siri issues could also point to an Apple server problem, and there was a thread last week I think, about Siri flaking out kind of across the board. I saw some iTunes issues at the same time, so it could well have been a problem on Apple's end.
