Has anyone noticed that Apple has reduced the overall volume of the Homepods? I could swear my three pods used to be a lot louder.

I get this from time to time. Try a reboot and see if that fix it.

Do they sound muffled or just clear but low?

Homepods used to be much louder. If I ask Siri to increase the volume, she reports that the maximum volume has already been reached. And that is only slightly louder than room volume

Are you talking about OG Homepods?. If so, I agree with you, the maximum volume is lower than before, although still reasonably loud.

Try to play some content on them to verify the actual playback volume is lower and its not just the Siri voice volume, just in case.

Latest update has definitely reduced the volume of my stereo pair of minis in my dining room. I haven’t listened to any music on any of the others yet.
