Looks like after I have updated my devices including the iPhone and iPad to iOS 26.x My HomePods have stopped working. They are not showing and getting connected to the Home Wifi Network. What can I do ?

Have you at the very least tried a power cycle?

Only things that ever worked for me:
- Set up a Manual / Static IP for the Apple TV's (if default audio routed through ATV to HomePods)
- Set up a static IP for the HomePods.

I do it through my UniFi app, but that solved 99% of my HomePod connectivity issues.

I’m seeing the same thing with 2 first-gen HomePods and 5 HomePod minis.

I fully reset the 2 HomePods, but the issue persists. All of my HomePods and Apple TVs have DHCP reservations.

There’s definitely something wrong with this audioOS build.

I updated all of mine to 26.3 and everything is working fine (including two OG HomePods, which is quite wild that they are even still getting updates in 2026).

Are any of yours @xpxp2002 serving as default audio from any Apple TV? That was a huge problem for me but going into the network settings on the Apple TV and instead of automatic network settings, I did everything manual. After a restart of both the ATV & HomePods, things have been working much better since then.

I removed and re added my 2 HomePods after a reset. Both connected fine yesterday. They showed all good yesterday. Today they both say not connected but I can play through them.

All are except one. But even the one that is not has also been showing the network issue message intermittently.

I already set all of the Apple TVs’ and HomePods’ IP addresses with DHCP reservations, including IPv6 for the DHCP6-assigned GUA.

What stands out to me is that nothing has changed in the environment to cause this and none of our other Apple devices are having any connectivity issues. I hope it’s just a peculiar bug fixed in 26.3. Based on the mid-week RC, I’m hoping it’ll go GA on Monday.

All 4 of my HomePod minis quit. All show network error and removing and readding them and they all are stuck on configuring.

Something is going on. Wonder if Apple is testing something server side for the new Siri or rumored hardware. For the past week or so, a good majority of my HomePods are getting this “Network Issue” and also AirPlay issues when defaulted to an AppleTV. Sometimes it clears itself, sometimes I have to start playing something on it, sometimes a power cycle. No rhyme or reason to it.

Luckily my two AppleTVs still work as my hubs. I’ve had to shut down my minis until I see if 26.3 fixes it when released.

If multiple devices stop working try restarting the router even if other devices are working fine. This can often be a network protocol issue (nat tables, bonjour, DHCP, etc).

My router is on a UPS so it's always online, however if the power flicks off/on I have 30+ smart devices that disconnect and immediately reconnect. This can exceed the DHCP capacity and a couple devices may give me 'no response'. Especially if there is a wind storm and the power is flicking on/off a few times.

Alas, I am still seeing it after upgrading all my HomePods to 26.3 along with my iPhone and iPad. Anyone found their situation has improved?

Update: after the AppleTV I use as a bridge updated to 26.3 the issue went away! 🎉

Mine (first gen) randomly disconnect and skip when playing Apple Music. Super annoying. Something is definitely going on with the new build.
