Looks like our phones are ready to start moving again from being stuck in Louisville a day or two, get ready for departure scans!

I had an import scan in Louisville this morning. I guess that means I definitely won't get it today but it seems to be on track for tomorrow at least...

Mine had the "Import Scan" at 9:32am. I like checking to see where it's at and how it's progressing. Looking forward to getting it tomorrow and passing my 3GS on to my mother :)

UPS is going to have one heck of a busy night in the US....

My iPhone is also in Louisville at the moment. I don't know how many of the iPhone 4ses go through Louisville tonight, but I'd guess about half a million and considering about 1M packages going through that sorting facility each night, that would indeed make it a busy night.

Some fun UPS stats here: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13772_3-9974653-52.html

I live 45 minutes from the UPS facility in Louisville. I wish I could drive up there and pick it up tonight...

I have four 4s phones for my family due for delivery fri/sat. They are in two packages, one with three white phones and one with one black phone. The black phone package shows in transit with delivery for friday, the white phone package was still sitting as of a half hour ago. Interesting to see how two different packages are being processed. I expect both to arrive tomorrow.

I am really wondering how they are going to make it from KY to California, to the distribution site, to delivery by tomorrow... Unless they have 2 sets of trucks geared for tomorrow. Usually they are on the truck and out for delivery by 10:00a.

Curious, but not really concerned...

I have another unrelated item that is supposed to arrive tomorrow as well, and it is still in PA... so I will wait and see.

They fly it to CA. Do you think a huge shipping company would not be able to do that?

They will have it flown overnight and out for delivery by tomorrow morning when the drivers come into work.

Mine was updated, About 10 minutes ago. :)

If it was the Post Office, then I would actually be concerned!!!:D

I would think it will be on a plane to CA, not a truck. I have another item that's scheduled to deliver tomorrow from UPS, as well. It needs to go from CA to Michigan, and I know it will get here on time.

I was never assuming it was on anything other than a plane, I am not a moron

My past experience is that it lands, then has to go to the hub here, then the next morning it makes it to that local distribution center, and then to my local distribution center, then out for delivery.

My experience is those simple steps usually take 2 days.

So to FLY from KY to here and then get to me in 2 days seems a bit of a stretch. Hence my post...

Well, you know you can order things overnight, right? So obviously that process can be expedited? That's what will happen here.

Both my phones have been scanned into louisville and waiting to head out here to SLC

From the information I've gathered from other posts during NORMAL operations UPS in Louisville starts to get very hectic and ship things out at around 2 or 3am each morning. Additionally, due to the anticipated increase in volume workers are being asked to start their shifts several hours early tonight/tomorrw. Because of this I anticipate that somtime between 10pm and 3am tonight/tomorrow morning we will see departure scan from Louisville. Should make it to our regional hubs fairly early in the morning tomorrow then finally to our local UPS warehouse to be put on the truck for delivery by about 7-9am tomorrow morning.

Again this is just my best guess based on information I've gathered. I am by no means an expert. I certainly hope I'm wrong and they start flying out of Louisville within the next few hours! Just wanted to share.

Can't wait for tomorrow! Sucky part is I live at the end of the UPS route. I never get packages before 5pm. Working all day though, so no big deal.

Some of the screenshots posted show "special instructions: signature required". My tracking info doesn't show this. does this mean i don't have to be there to sign?
