As a former Del Sol owner I must say that I really miss the car and have thought about picking another one up - Great gas Mileage 38+ and I had no problems flying around at 100+ miles an hour. Sucked because I had no idea I was going that fast.
I loved storing the top in teh trunk and the roll down window in back.
I had leased it an dmoved to NYC which is why I gave it up.
I really miss that car though.

thanks :) echoes pretty much every opinion I have read about the car.

I'm not sure that they sold them in Canada, but if possible you should look for the VTEC model with the 160hp B16 engine - that should make a big difference over the 125ish horsepower Si. Avoid the wimpy base model.

Even though they are light, the Del Sol needs as much power as it can get. A friend of mine had a 1991 CRX with 92hp and, despite its great handling it was painfully slow.

I'm not sure how many Del Sol's were actually sold in Canada period. There seems to be a lot more 1993 models for sale around here, possibly because they had more isses than the later years (?). I would not get the base model since 105hp is sad enough but then you add teeny 13" wheels and a lack of extras and meh...not worth my money. I wouldlove the VTEC model but they seem to cost an extra few thousand bucks...a few thousand which I could probably invest in the car in more productive ways. Si will be the way to go for me most likely.

Something sporty that you dont see around everyday...

Find a 91-95 Acura Legend Coupe

They had a lot of nice luxuries for a car that's 16yrs old. Heated Seats, Heated Mirrors, ect. The best thing is that their rear windows roll down. On a coupe!

I love my 92 LS, (that isnt mine pictured)

You can usually find one on ebay from about $2500 - $5000

My friend has had the regular Del Sol, and then sold it for the VTEC manual Del Sol.

Great cars. I wouldn't mind the VTEC one
