Every time i browse the web. Or switch between browsing and a game. Or using the device as a remote for the Apple TV. Everything keeps reloading all the time. Not to mention the intermittent crashing of apps due to low memory.

Lack of ram made the iPad unusable for me, constant reloading of tabs all day due to the system not being able to store web pages on ram. It's similar with the iPhone, maybe not as impactful, but still an important factor.

Why do so many folks care so much about how much RAM is in the next iPhone or iPad? Let me be clear: I love my Apple products and I love tech in general. But Android devices have had more RAM than competing Apple devices and I still don't care. I think it's about the device experience and my iOS Apple gear works great regardless of how much RAM. What gives?
This RAM issue reached it's peak when Apple released iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and iPad Air 1 with punny 1 GB RAM. Couple that with iOS 8 and 9 which were downright demanding on RAM usage.

I could see people were livid with rage here on MR forums and even I was part of them. 2 GB really hit the sweet spot with Air 2 and the result shows. It is still same perfectly smooth and usable on iOS 10 as it was with iOS 8. No constant ejecting of apps from memory and less Safari tab refreshes.

But as we reach iOS 11, I would feel that even 2 GB will not be enough. 3 or 4 GB would become the new norm.
