I've been having trouble hooking up my 2008 white MacBook to my LG tv. The hinge on my computer is broken, so I have been having a lot of trouble seeing things because the brightness feature seems to be disconnected as a result.
I bought a dvi port to VGA, and a VGA to hdmi which is what my tv takes. Fiddled with the cords and system preferences (followed instructions found on a different forum) but neither my computer nor my tv seem to acknowledge a connection. Do I have the wrong cords/have I been doing the wrong this in system preferences?
I have tried f7+fn as well as f3 but nothing seems to be working!
