I though that i0n1c from chronic dev team had said that there were at least 5 holes in the A5 and that a jailbreak wouldn't take long...but now I see this on his twitter page:

i0n1c: if you see my name on any iOS5.0 jailbreak then it is fake.i am not involved.i am busy writing a book.no time to release a jailbreak.

There are two things here.

1. The holes he mentioned are there.
2. The jailbreak software tool might not have been developed by him. So thats what he is going about. That if a tool has his name on it, it wasn't him.

However, it doesn't mean the exploits are fake.

It could be delayed because we are all waiting on Apple to release a firmware update changing the 3G icon to 4G. How useless is that? They don't want to waste an exploit for this impending update.

if you guys had to associate a % chance we will NEVER get a 4S jailbreak on IOS5 - what would it be?

What? or is this just a case of internet sarcasm that is hard to pick up over text?

From what I remembe, it took about 2 month for iPhone 4 jailbreak to arrive.
iPad 2 took around 4 month.

I want one badly too. But yes it's only been lil over a week

How long was it until there was word of people working on it or a screen pic of one running cydia or something though? I would like just a little bit of evidence that it is at least being worked on.
