Hopefully, come 4/24, delivery people will just deliver your package. In peace. In one piece.

Hopefully, there'll be no stealing or intentional damaging involved.

What advice do you have for me to avoid the above situation?

I sure hope you don't get robbed when you're at the store. Or struck by lightening. Or hit by a meteor.

I'm just sayin'

Let's also pray that we all don't end up in a Groundhog Day type of situation on Thursday where we keep waking up on the 23rd over and over...

Really? What's the point in this thread? Not like Apple are going to plaster the words "APPLE WATCH INSIDE WORTH xxx" all over the box now are they?

As far as the courier is concerned it's just another parcel....

Seriously, why'd you make this thread?

Is this thread a joke? Everyday Macs worth 1000's of Dollars/ pounds/euro or whatever currency you use are delivered to people without problems, why would Apple watches, of which the majority are less expensive than your average Mac suddenly go missing?

For the most part, yes. Companies like Apple generally drop ship, which Apple does, directly from the manufacturer. It won't show Apple anywhere on the package.

My UPS driver saw macmall on the label and wasn't going to leave the package if I didn't answer the door. Great driver.

I'm hoping Apple doesn't use On Trac on the west coast.

Please Apple, choose a carrier that matches your image, UPS or FedEx.

I'm still at a loss for which of us will be receiving the watch next Friday?

My iphone 5s never arrived to my house back in nov 13. Had to call apple to get a new one sent and they opened a claim with ups. I am just hoping that package was lost due to thanksgiving madness and nothing like that happens next friday

Ya know it's threads like these that give me hope for this forum.

Attention to detail.

I like it :)

...until you've experienced a similar situation yourself. Could you even fathom the disappointment you would have?

I had a pretty bad one where UPS lost my Retina MBP over the holidays, meaning I was without a macbook (a necessity for my line of work) for a week or so and that did certainly suck. I still don't see the point in this thread - if it was a case of asking for advice etc then I'd understand but I just think this is pointless.

You can tell them to deliver the package to a UPS store if you won't be home, or even to another address. Sign up for UPS My Choice. You can get text updates, etc.

There will be thefts. It's just the nature of the beast. But you are safe in numbers. .000000000001% of the Watches will be stolen. So you should be fine.

But under no circumstances should anyone ever let any UPS or Fedex package be left at the door during iPhone or Watch delivery times because thieves are out in force looking for that.

Thieves follow the delivery trucks and watch to see them leave packages at doors. Then they help themselves.

Christmas time and iPhone launches are the worst times.

No one cares enough about your measly $349 watch to risk their job.

Uh, first of all, no one will know that there is an Apple Watch inside the box. I have also ordered an iMac two years ago which shipped directly in its original packaging, the mailman didn't steal it apparently. Second, you can always call Apple or the shipping company if the product is "lost".

This thread is still pointless.

Huh? What? How is this different from the iPhone or delivery of any other Apple product on launch day?

Here's what to do. Make sure you call FedEx (or UPS, etc) on delivery day and request an honest delivery person. Then get in your car and find a delivery vehicle on the morning of your delivery date and follow it around until it comes to your place (assuming it's the correct truck--otherwise hire of fleet of cars) and make sure he takes it off the truck and brings it to your door.

Or call the delivery service and ask them to hold it for you. Although I don't think that works. Or just hide in a dark corner until it's all over and hope for the best.

How do you people come up with this nonsense?
