Horizontal Lines after Exporting (Final Cut Pro X)

Hey all, hoping someone can help me out. File looks great in Final Cut but when I export, there's all these horizontal lines. Not sure where I messed up, but it's my first time so I hope someone can help.

Project settings are: 1080i
1920 x 1080 | 29.97i
Surround | 48khz

I shot with a Sony Nex-7 Camera and when I click info on an imported clip, it tells me:
Dimensions: 1920 x 1080
Codecs: H.264, Linear PCM, Timecode
Color Profile: HD (1-1-1)

File ->project properties, clicked the little wrench in the bottom right, changed 1080i to 1080p and am all good now 🙂 hope this helps anyone else who's having the same problem!
