So I'm using HoRNDIS with my Pismo and I'm hoping someone might be able to confirm some behavior I've observed.

Each time I link my phone to the Pismo, it detects the phone as a new ethernet device. I did begin to wonder how many times I would be able to disconnect / reconnect in this fashion before OSx had a problem. Well tonight I reached my 22nd device and suddenly the Pismo stopped detecting the ethernet adapter. After going in to Network Port Configurations and deleting 20 Ethernet devices it finally started working again.

I just wondered if anyone else is experiencing these issues.

I am, and I don’t know what causes it.

Similar issues, with situations where I've experienced multiple entries for adapters on my iBook G3 but this hasn't occurred every single time the phone is connected via USB. Instead, for me, the issue has been intermittent. I haven't reached the situation yet where the computer stops detecting the adapter.

I'm not sure if this will help anyone, but i saw this on the hoRNDIS website.

Notes about specific Mac OS X versions

OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and 10.10 (Yosemite) are supported by HoRNDIS, but there are some gotchas. If you upgraded from an earlier version of OS X, you may find that phones appear to be replicating with abandon in your network control panel. If this happens to you, one somewhat heavy-handed workaround is to clean your network configuration files – take a backup of /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist and /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist, and then either move them out of the way or delete them. (Note that this will remove any custom network configuration that you have performed!) I am still not sure what causes this problem, and so I do not yet have a workaround with finer granularity.
