M Mirrorball macrumors member Original poster Jul 5, 2011 #1 My Macbook Pro (4,1 from 2008) makes this horrible noise (see attachment) sometimes when it wakes up. If I close the lid, wait until it sleeps and open the lid again, the noise usually disappears. Does anyone know what could be making it? The fans?
