I am attempting to experiment with operating my MBP as more of a desktop just for fun. Taking up alot of room on my desktop (big footprint) and I don't often take it off.

Anyway, full, 4 bar wireless reception of my home network, and usually 2 or 3 bars of my neighbor's wireless networks on my desk. Lid closed and on my keyboard tray, my network is down to 2 bars and it won't even pick up the other networks. This is bugging me.

Possibly, but I think I found the root cause.

I left it on the desk with the lid closed, and the signal strength is full again. Duh. Dissapointing that it can't leave my desk as I have no other good location for it, but oh well.

Thanks for the interest.
