Shamefully I am a member of ADC.

I restored my 3GS with 3.1 because BT was not connecting to my iPhone.

iTunes error is to please register the device... well it is registered.

When I try to restore with Xcode the error is to activate with iTunes...

Any help would of course be greatly appreciated... Thank you...

I didn’t have to do any thing special for the first time I installed 3.1. And now iTunes tells me to do one thing and Xcode some thing else.

How would I do the udid thing.

I feel like such an idiot. I have been to the developer site and my iPhone is there with a very very long ID number.

Thanks...

Just remove it from ADC and re-add it by entering the serial number (yes, the serial number can be used to register it). You can get the serial number from System Profiler, under USB -> USB High-Speed Bus -> iPhone
