Hosting for only 1-2 months??

I'm planning to try out this new website of mine but I only want to test it right now. I used to use 1&1 hosting but i know they have a minimum of 6 months purchased hosting and i know dreamhost and other popular hosts require that you purchase a certain amount of hosting. are there any good hosts that only require you to pay in advance by 1 or 2 months? Thanks

Hostgator is per month. Look around and you can find first month free coupons

is there one with free or cheaper domain registration? they said its $15 to register a new domain? thats a little too much

If you truly only want to test a website, why not just enable Web Sharing and run it off your own computer?

You could also look into nearlyfreespeech, a few bucks should do you.

im not too familiar with personal web sharing but it seems easy enough, ill try it out, thanks!

You could use a program like MAMP to host it locally on your machine and not even bother with paying someone.
