Is the fan control on macOS will make my iMac cool enough? Do I need to download a fan control app for that ? When I use it for playing games , i put my hands on the back of the iMac chin, it’s hot!!!

Like any other computer it will shut itself down when it reaches past thermal limits determined by the maker. That said the chip will, also like ANY other PC, downclock itself when reaching sustained loads for a long enough time so that it can maintain the work load.

There's a huge difference between what you consider "cool enough" (50 °C maybe) and what the CPU considers "cool enough" ( < ~100 °C).

You'd find a CPU running well within its design limits at 75 °C unbearable to hold a finger on.

Don't put your hands there. 😀

You can install TG Pro and look at the various temps and fan speeds. Once the temps get above ~90C and turn orange the computer is throttling due to high temps. You can turn the fans on max during the demanding tasks, but its not needed regularly.
