hotel problem

    hello, i know this issue has been discussed but i cannot fix it. my mail cannot receive or send out emails. i am using gmail imap. can someone please help me on this issue? also, i am staying long term so if i get my own router for my room, with a secure wep, will that work? thanks!

    This is likely due your e-mail server relying on you having a connection to its network to function. Check your server settings and add your username and password for your e-mail and that should correct the issue.

    I didn't see that you were using GMail's IMAP earlier. Your hotel may not allow SSL connections, or at least not on the Ports that Gmail Uses.

    It would be much easier to just use the GMail web interface, because it is likely that to fix this you'd have to get the hotel's IT department involved, and that is ALWAYS a pain.
