hotkey help... expose problems

i'm using my girlfriends ibook 1.42, and dashboard (F11), expose (F8, F9, F10) will not work. if i made any shortcut to say shift, or the FN key by themselves, they work, but i cannot set expose to use any of the F-keys.

i tried fooling around in mouse and keyboard area, and the shortcuts are registered. no go. even if i hold fn and hit the keys they don't work.

any similar problems. i NEED expose to be remotely productive. thanks!

Can you set the f keys and they just don't work?

Do you have the fn key pressed or something?

In System Preferences, under the Keyboard pane of Keyboard & Mouse, is Use The F1-F12 Keys To Control Software Features checked? 🙂
