Hotmail in mail won't accept password!

I've had my hotmail account running in mail for years without problem. Suddenly mail won't accept my password.

I've checked the password is correct on hotmail.com and even iCloud is picking up my hotmail account ok...

Any ideas anyone?

Hotmail is dead. Microsoft bought it years ago and change it to Outlook.com. The just added iMAP so go through the website and verify for settings.

Yes it does..... and iCloud allows me access just not 'mail'

reboot.
or try again in an hour...happens to my brother, and a while later, it's fine again... (hopefully, that will be true for you)

Fixed it..... plus hotmail now syncs with server and iPhone... Result!!
